Mission Statement
The World Kinbaku Federation aims to promote the traditional Japanese practice of Kinbaku.
Kinbaku/shibari (緊縛/縛り) has its roots in the ancient martial arts of hojojutsu/hobakujutsu (捕縄術/捕縛術) where the use of rope was one of the eighteen warrior skills (bugei juhappan, 武芸十八般) of the samurai.
